Tran Dynasty Celadon Lotus Bowl
A semi opaque green jadelike celadon bowl from the Tran Dynasty ((1225-1400). The only "flaw" on this wonderfully survived glaze is the original spurmarks on the simple, plain interior of this bowl. The outside is evenly incised in narrow lotus petals. This bowl is very similar to Chinese Longquan bowls in it's opaque glaze. The footrim is unglazed but washed in a chocolate colored wash.
