This is a pair of Balinese prosperity figures holding lotus buds, with robes made from Chinese coins and a carved and painted "Pratima" or facial likeness of a Hindu deity, Pratima are sacred representations of gods or spirits that the Balinese place in shrines and temples as vessels for the visiting gods to occupy during temple festivals and ceremonies.
