Hand cast earthenware storage vessel with stylized appliqued double alligators design and incised circling band motif. Burkina Faso (a land locked country in west Africa) previously known as the Republic of Upper Volta. Dates from the mid 20th century and measures 36" diameter and is 24" tall with rounded bottom.
