Cast bronze Buddha in the 'Padmasana' seated asana, well known as the lotus position and the 'Bhumisparsa' mudra, "Earth to Witness" or "Earth Touching" (to invoke the earth as a witness to the truth of his words) mudra, on Indra's (supreme ruler of the gods and god of war, thunder and storms) elephant throne, Laos, late18th - early 19th century.
