This carved marble cobblestone road / street water drain was excavated from the ancient Greek / Roman city of Ephesus, Anatolia, located in the Izmir province of Turkey. The four holed round pan water and sewage collecting unit dates from the Byzantine era (395 - 1107 AD) and measures a slightly uneven 11" square x 3" deep.
