Antique bronze finished cast brass ceremonial rain drum with traditional solar star burst tympanum design and palm and appliqued elephant detail motifs, custom made in northern Thailand. A quality finely cast heavy gauge reproduction inspired by the Dong Son drums originating in Laos around 500 B.C. This version measures 30" top diameter by 30" tall.
