Vietnamese Tran Dynasty Beaker

Beaker with recessed base from the Tran dynasty (1225-1400). The ivory glaze on this has acquired and even crazing and is in very fine condition. This piece is very thin sided and a similar example can be seen in the San Francisco Museum of Asian Art. The inside shows signs of spurmarks and pooling of the glaze which develops a jadelike green color when applied more thickly. There are only minor chips to the rim of this otherwise perfect beaker.
